Why Did Adam Loeber Want to Work for the FBI?

· Investigation Expert

Adam Loeber has several reasons why he wanted to become an FBI agent. He was initially interested in working in law enforcement because of the shows he watched and books he read, but learning about different careers solidified his desire to find justice by working in law.

When Loeber was younger, he watched many crime shows and was always reading mystery books. He loved the process of gathering information and putting the clues together to solve a crime and find the criminal. Loeber also grew up with the desire to help people. Seeing his brother become a lawyer and his father working as a registered nurse made Loeber want to help others too. He would visit his brother’s law firm and watch him work on cases or help him file papers. Loeber liked the idea of being a lawyer, but he wanted to be more involved with law enforcement.

In high school, Loeber joined the law enforcement club. This club helped him learn more about the different careers in law enforcement. He learned about being a police officer and working for the FBI. Loeber also started volunteering with the San Francisco Police Department. There, he was able to shadow police officers as they patrolled the city, put together profiles, and input information into the system. After helping out with the police department for two years, Adam Loeber decided he wanted to work for the FBI. He was accepted into Harvard and chose to earn a degree in law. After he graduated with a 4.0 GPA, Loeber started the entry program to become an FBI agent.
